Lightly Resin Bonded Mattresses

Rockwool LRB mattresses are made up of fine fibers spun, obtained by melting specific rocks and further bonded with a thermosetting resin. It is manufactured by stitching flexible blanket to hexagonal GI wire mesh. It can be faced on one side or both sides. The facings may be Aluminium Foil or Galvanized wire mesh or Stainless Steel wire mesh etc. The mattress provides excellent stability, due to uniform thickness and density, resulting in prevention of heat losses. Rockwool mattress is considered as light weight thermal insulation for working temperature up to 750^oC. As these mattresses are flexible, ideally can be used for insulation of curved surfaces like industrial boiler insulation, hot air duct insulation, tank insulation, heat exchanger, reactors, ovens and refrigeration equipment.

These are available in different densities and thicknesses.

Resin Bonded Rockwool Slab

Resin Bonded (RB) Rockwool slabs are designed for thermal and acoustic insulation of flat or slightly curved surfaces with operating temperatures up to 750^oC. Rockwool slabs can work at both high and low temperatures and provide excellent acoustical absorption, Refinery Insulation, noise reduction & sound insulation. These are quite versatile, easy to transport and easy to cut, fit and handle.

These can be used for insulation of ductings, ovens, vessels, tanks, cavity walls, curtain walls, sandwich panels and industrial equipment. In case of insulation of flat surfaces of furnaces, ship decks and boilers. Also can also be used for fire and personnel protection.

The product is available in variety of sizes and thicknesses. Also available with craft paper or Aluminum foil facing to meet projects/customers specific requirements.

Loose Mineral Wool/Slag Wool

Rockwool Loose Mineral Wool is produced from molten selected rocks. The Mineral Wool is an ideal material for most insulation applications because of its favourable handling and application characteristics. Loose Mineral Wool can be used for insulating cavity of irregular dimension in equipments, tank, pipeline, oven, furnace, car exhaust, chimney walls etc. It is highly suitable especially where performance insulation is difficult to apply. It is fire proof, dirt proof and moisture resistant. Chemically, it neither reacts nor accelerates corrosion. It is durable, odourless, easy to handle and store and conforms to IS:3677. The density of wool to be used depends on the thermal conductivity required.

Loose Mineral Wool is available in HDPE bags of 40 kg and can be used in a wide range of temperatures of -50^oC to 750^oC.
